Welcome to A Quirky Twist! After last week’s super warm weather that’s still going on this week I decided it would probably be a good idea to post this outfit. With the warm weather and March coming Wednesday, it’s time to think about transitional pieces for spring. Spring transitional outfits are often hard to make because you have to dress for cold mornings and warm afternoons. I always like to dress for the afternoon because I can always throw on a jacket, but it’s impractical to change out of jeans or super thick sweater in the middle of the day.
Recreate This Look
Top: Old Navy-out of stock (similar style here)
Skirt:Anthropolgie-out of stock (cute alternative here)
This outfit is another Outfit Remix the skirt was first featured in this post, and my shirt was featured in this post. I think lighter colored flannels like this one make good transitional pieces, because they give off a spring vibe with the practically of winter wear. I think rolled up sleeves also add a little bit, of a cute touch to the flannel look, and keep you cool when it warms up. Also because this outfit is made of neutrals I really like the pop of color my lipstick adds to the outfit. However I think a bright pair of shoes or cute colorful bracelets could achieve the same effect. If you like what you read you can follow along by e-mail to receive new posts straight to your e-mail.
