Burgundy Overalls

Welcome to A Quirky Twist! I’m two days away from starting my sophomore spring semester, and although I still have 2 ½ years left it feels like my time in college is flying by. My spring semester last year was pretty great I made more new friends, went to lots of sporting events and watched my school almost win a national title. For me spring semester has always gone the fastest even when I was in elementary school, so I know that before I know it I’ll be home in May writing a post as a junior in college. But for now spring semester hasn’t even started, but I’m excited to start this journey and give y’all a glimpse into my life.

Now for the main event my outfit, if I could pick one color to be my mascot for each season burgundy would be my pick for winter. I love the deep rich tone of burgundy, and I think it’s one of the few colors that looks great on every skin tone. I’m glad overalls are back in style because I love how they look, I wore them as a toddler (mentioned in this Instagram) and happily wear them as an adult. I like the simple approach when putting together outfits which is why I wear a lot of dresses.

Recreate This Look

Overalls: Forever21

Top: Forever21

Shoes: Belk-out of stock (similar style here)

Necklace: Kay

Lipstick: Maybelline-35 Rebel Red

Overalls are almost as easy to style as dresses, you pick a complimenting undershirt and boom you have an instant outfit. I paired this look with tights, because as my mom constantly reminds me bare legs aren’t for winter. These booties were one of my fall favorites and will continue to be a favorite into winter. If you liked this new style of post (similar to that of last January) let me know in a comment or by following along and receiving my posts in your e-mail inbox.
