Making Fall Work for Summer

Hi and welcome to A Quirky Twist! Today’s post is all about re-wearing items in your closet that you thought you’d put away for the year. This shirt I bought last year to wear during the fall and wore in this post, and I loved it so much I wanted to see if I could make it work for summer. I rolled up the sleeves to my elbows (ignore the fact that they are at different lengths now, they were at the same length when I got out the car) to allow for better airflow. I think this outfit is perfect for someone who lives in an area where there are cooler summers, or for the unusually cool overcast day in the south like it was when I shot these pictures. I bought my skirt from J. Crew Factory for my 18th birthday last year. Originally the folds in the center were attached to the hem, but I ripped the seam because I liked it better this way. I dressed the outfit up with wedges but I think it could work well with a cute pair of sandals or flats. Thank you so much for stopping by feel free to leave a comment below and check back Monday for a new post! Also if you missed my college advice post yesterday you can find it here, and make sure to share with an upcoming college freshman!
